Tornado warning south of Calgary ends

A tornado warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) for Foothills County near Okotoks, De Winton, High River and Aldersyde ended before 4 p.m. Monday.

The weather agency said damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall were also possible.

The warning was issued at around 2:50 p.m.

It replaced the severe thunderstorm warning issued for those areas.

Meanwhile, the weather agency says conditions are favourable for developing dangerous thunderstorms that may produce damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
