Calgary man killed in Millarville rollover: RCMP

Alberta RCMP says a Calgary man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover southwest of Calgary Wednesday afternoon.

Mounties say they responded to the crash on Highway 549 just east of Highway 762 in the Millarville area around 2 p.m.

Police say the vehicle was driving westbound on Highway 549 when it lost control and rolled into a ditch.

The driver was thrown out of the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are still investigating the cause of the crash, but they believe alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

The victim’s identity has not been released as of yet due to next of kin not being notified.
