Calgary police have charged a man with voyeurism after a woman reported that she was recorded with a cell phone while in the fitting room of a northwest clothing store.
Investigators say around 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug 4, a woman was shopping at Plato’s Closet on Varsity Drive NW.
Police believe that after the woman entered the changing room, a man walked up to the room with a cell phone sitting on top of his right shoe, and placed his right foot underneath the door.
They say the woman immediately noticed the cell phone.
The man then removed the phone from his shoe and left the store, according to investigators.
Store staff and the woman called police to report the incident.
Logan Donovan Moore, 32, of Calgary, has been charged with one count of voyeurism as part of an ongoing investigation, police say.
He is set to appear in court on Sept. 22.
Police are looking to speak with other people who were shopping in the store around the same time on the same day who may have seen suspicious behaviours.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
