    A rural property on the eastern edge of Chestermere is the scene of a Calgary police investigation connected to a September homicide.

    Calgary police continue to scour an area in Chestermere in relation to a fatal shooting that happened in the city’s northwest in early September.

    A spokesperson tells CityNews they are searching the area in connection to the death of 33-year-old Jordan Jacques-Vetten, who was found in front of a home in Capitol Hill on Sept. 9.

    “Please note, this search is not connected to any other large-area searches in recent months,” the spokesperson said.

    The death was the city’s 14th homicide in 2023.
