Calgary police have released a composite sketch of a man found dead last year, with the hope of finding his family.
Investigators say the man was found dead in a tent near 32 Avenue NE and Burroughs Manor NE in August 2022.
After an autopsy, police determined the death to be non-criminal.
Many attempts by the Medical Examiner’s office and police have not been successful in identifying the man, and investigators say his next of kin remain outstanding.
“By releasing this sketch, we hope someone out there will be able to provide us his name, so that we can bring answers to his family who are out there not knowing what has happened to him,” Staff Sgt. Brad Moore of the Calgary Police Service Missing Persons Team said in a statement.
Police say the man is of Asian descent, between 40 and 50 years old, and around 135 pounds and 5’6″ tall.
He also had long white and grey hair, and a goatee.
Investigators found a laptop and papers in the tent that had information related to betting on horse races.
Information also indicates he may have a potential alias of Thanh Nguyen.
