Calgary’s Winsport closes early Sunday due to accident

Some sort of accident at Calgary’s Winsport Sunday afternoon was bad enough to close the hill for the day.

EMS says they took a teen to hospital in serious, but non-life threatening condition.

A listener told CityNews they were ordered off of the hill at 2 p.m.

The hill is normally open until 5 p.m.

Winsport says in a statement, the hill had to be closed to make room for treating the patient and to ensure there was enough ski patrol coverage for Winsport as a whole.
