Calgarian charged for handing out business cards with cocaine samples at downtown casino

A Calgary man is facing drug trafficking charges after handing out business cards with free samples of cocaine at a downtown casino, police say.
According to investigators, on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2023, officers patrolling a casino downtown learned that a business card has been handed out to patrons at the casino.
The card had the name “Alex Lee” on it, and a small baggie with a sample of suspected cocaine attached.

Investigators tracked down the suspect going by Lee as an alias, and throughout January gathered evidence consistent with drug trafficking involving the suspect and a vehicle he was using.
On Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, officers stopped a 2020 white Toyota Tundra and arrested the driver.
Officers searched the vehicle and a home on Beaconsfield Place NW, where they found several dozens of grams of cocaine, individually portioned in more than 50 baggies, a digital scale with drug residue, $1,280 in cash, and business cards belonging to “Alex Lee.”
Seyyed Amir Razavi is now charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and three counts of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
The 30-year-old was released from custody and is set to appear in court on Monday, Feb. 26.
