Calgary police seek info on NE hit-and-run

Calgary police are asking for help from the public in the investigation of a hit-and-run in the northeast last month.

Investigators say on Thursday, Feb. 29, around 11 a.m., a woman was hit by a vehicle while using the crosswalk at the intersection of 32 Avenue and 34 Street NE.

The woman wasn’t seriously hurt, according to police, but she did need medical attention.

The driver of the vehicle that hit her didn’t stay at the scene or report the incident to police.

Investigators describe the vehicle as an older model, raised, black Ford pickup truck with a push bar or bull bar on the front.

The driver was descrived as a white man between the ages of 30 and 40 with a short beard, a moustache, and brown hair.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has information or dashcam footage related to this incident, or the driver of the truck, is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or tipping anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
