Calgary police are out with a photo of a minivan they believe ran over a man who was laying down in a parking lot over the weekend.
Emergency crews responded to a gas station parking lot near Memorial Drive NE and 4th Street NE around 2:45 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators believe a pedestrian fell down and was lying in the lot when a minivan reversed out of a parking stall before pulling forward and turning northbound onto 4 Street NE.

“When the minivan pulled forward, the front passenger side of the vehicle rolled over the pedestrian,” reads a police release.
The driver stopped and opened his door to look around, according to police, and then closed the door and ran over the pedestrian again with the rear wheels. Investigators say it is likely the driver was unaware they ran over someone.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious life-altering injuries. In an update Wednesday, police ay with victim remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.
Calgary police have released a security photo of the van they believe was involved in the crash. The vehicle is described as an older-model Honda Odyssey.
“We are appealing to the involved driver to please come forward,” police say.
