A driver accidentally crashed their vehicle through the front window of a pizza place in northwest Calgary on Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to a Little Caesar’s location near Panatella Boulevard NW and Harvest Hills Boulevard around noon for reports of a vehicle crashing into a building.

The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) tells CityNews a vehicle ended up completely embedded inside the restaurant. They are calling the collision an accident.

No injuries were reported.

CFD say there were only four employees in the back making pizza at the time, and no one inside the front of the store.

The driver was assessed at the scene as a precaution but wasn’t hurt.

An assessment determined the building did not sustain any structural damage, according to CFD.

Police were called in to investigate and say the incident is not believed to be criminal.
