Suspect in custody after stabbing at Chinook Centre Mall

Calgary police are investigating a stabbing at a busy shopping centre in the city’s southwest Thursday morning.
Around 11:40 a.m., emergency crews were called to Chinook Mall on Macleod Trail SW to tend to a person who had been stabbed near one of the entrances.
Paramedics tell CityNews an adult victim was injured and taken to hospital in stable condition.
Police say a suspect fled the scene but was quickly located by officers and taken into custody at the Chinook CTrain Station.
The investigation is ongoing.
