There will be no CTrain service on a large portion of the Blue Line this weekend due to maintenance.
The closure will impact commuters in the city’s southwest with Calgary Transit saying no trains will be running from 69 Street to Sunalta stations.
The closure will be in place all day Saturday and all day Sunday. Train service will resume in time for start of service on Monday.
Calgary Transit says shuttle buses will run every five minutes in place of trains between 69 Street and Downtown West/Kerby.
Westbound Blue Line trains coming from downtown will run to Sunalta. The shuttle buses will not be stopping at Sunalta so riders heading eastbound on the bus need to take it to Downtown West/Kerby, and then ride the train west one stop to Sunalta.
The city says the closure is to make room for crews to do preventative and maintenance work.
