Police find loaded gun, drugs, open liquor after Calgary man pulled over for ‘aggressive U-turn’

A Calgary man is facing several charges after he was pulled over in his vehicle for having window tint and making an aggressive driving maneuver.
Cochrane RCMP say an officer stopped the vehicle around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday after noticing the tint and witnessing an “aggressive U-turn” in an intersection.
Upon approaching the vehicle, it is alleged the officer found open liquor and cannabis within arms reach of the driver. After further searching the vehicle the officer found a loaded pistols, bags of suspected cocaine, and drug parapharnalia.
RCMP say 37-year-old Iain Mcauley of Calgary is facing several charges including possession of an illegal firearm and drug possession.
He remains in custody and is expected to appear in court later this month.
