Suspect wanted on several charges after man shot in southern Alberta

Mounties in southern Alberta are asking for help finding a suspect after a man was shot near Pincher Creek last week.
RCMP say officers were called to the community of Brocket on the Piikani Nation Reserve around 7:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to his foot. The suspect fled before officers arrived.
Investigators have identified the suspect as 32-year-old Mitchel Brandon from Lethbridge. RCMP have issued a warrant for his arrest on 11 charges.
- Aggravated assault
- Discharge firearm with intent
- Careless use of a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
- Firearms possession contrary to order (x3)
- Possession of a firearm while unauthorized
- Driving while prohibited
He is described as 5’6″ tall, 170 lbs. with a fair complexion, brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing all black, including a black Helly Hansen jacket and a black Chicago Bulls hat.
Police believe the suspect fled in a 1996 white Chevy Suburban K2500 with the Alberta licence plate CAC 453.
