A man is fighting for his life in hospital following an overnight shooting in northeast Calgary.

Calgary police were called to a home on Cityscape Way NE around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday for reports of gunshots.

Responding officers found a man with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

No suspect information has been made available.

Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and say there is no threat to public safety, according to a CPS spokesperson.

The investigation is ongoing.
