One dead after being hit by CTrain in NE Calgary

Traffic delays are expected near the Memorial Drive and Deerfoot Trail interchange in northeast Calgary Monday, due to a fatal collision involving a CTrain.
Calgary police said in a statement to CityNews officers were called around 9:20 a.m. for reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a CTrain at Memorial Drive NE and Deerfoot Trail NE.
When investigators arrived, they found one person dead at the scene.
First responders remain on scene and police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the collision.
In a social media post made at 10 a.m., police asked drivers to find an alternate route.
Police say as the investigation is in its early stages, no other information is available at this time.
