    Traffic delays were expected near the Memorial Drive and Deerfoot Trail interchange in northeast Calgary Monday, due to a fatal collision involving a CTrain.

    Calgary police said in a statement to CityNews officers were called around 9:20 a.m. for reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a CTrain at Memorial Drive NE and Deerfoot Trail NE.

    When investigators arrived, they found one person dead at the scene.

    In a social media post made at 10 a.m., police were asking drivers to find an alternate route.
