A section of Calgary’s Deerfoot Trail was closed Wednesday morning due to what police initially described as a serious injury collision.
Northbound Deerfoot Trail between Memorial Drive and 16 Avenue NE was shut down just before 7 a.m. and reopened around 10 a.m.
Images from traffic cameras in the area appeared to show a vehicle sitting on its roof.
EMS tells 660 NewsRadio the accident involved two vehicles and once on scene, paramedics assessed two adults — each the single occupant of their vehicle.
Both people were taken to Foothills Medical Centre, one in serious but stable condition and one in stable, non-life threatening condition.
Drivers were asked to find an alternative route during the morning commute.
