A new fast food joint opened in Calgary Thursday, and some people waited in line for more than two hours to get a taste.
It’s a scene you’d expect to see at a sports event or a concert, but on Thursday, all the commotion on Calgary’s Macleod Trail was for the opening day of Chick-fil-A, an American chicken chain.
The lines were massive both inside the restaurant and in the drive-thru, where police helped direct traffic.

Some people CityNews spoke with were finding creative ways to pass the time, including chatting with their car neighbours and watching the Flames game.
Chick-fil-A says it plans to have 20 restaurants in Alberta by 2030.
