Singer Jelly Roll coming to Calgary next year in first cross-Canada tour

A popular country star will play his first-ever show in Calgary next year as part of a cross-country tour.

Jelly Roll announced The Beautifully Broken Great Northern Tour on Tuesday. It will make a stop in Calgary on March 11, 2025.

Other stops on the tour include Quebec City, Laval, London, Toronto, and Ottawa, Winnipeg, Regina and Saskatoon, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

The singer and rapper, born Jason DeFord, has been in the music industry for more than two decades but has seen increasing fame in recent years due to several successful singles.

His first official Canadian show was in Ontario this past July.

The “Son of a Sinner” and “Need a Favor” singer was previously unable to perform internationally due to his criminal record.

He’s been open about his past, which includes possession with intent to distribute. Jelly Roll was candid about his experiences with addiction and life as a former drug dealer when he testified earlier this year in front of a U.S. Senate Committee pushing for anti-fentanyl legislation.
