Warmer weather coming to Calgary this week: ECCC

Despite the calendar flipping to December on Sunday, warmer temperatures are on the way for Calgary.

“There is a pretty big swing in temperatures expected today,” Chris Wielki with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says.

The melt will begin Monday with a high of 5 C and Tuesday will see a high of 8 C, according to ECCC.

The coldest day of the week will be Wednesday, but it will still feel quite balmy compared to recent temperatures. ECCC says the temperature will hover around 0 C.

Higher temperatures will continues through the backend of the week — ECCC is forecasting a high of 6 C for Thursday and Friday.

Saturday could be the warmest day of the week at 10 C and Sunday will drop to 4 C.
