Calgarians can win ‘free ice cream for a year’ by finding large red spoon

The snow in Calgary is melting, but a different type of blizzard could be on the way.

Dairy Queen Canada has launched a contest that gives Canadians the chance to win “free DQ Blizzards for a year.”

The ice cream and fast food chain has placed five large red spoons in secret locations across Canada, including one in Calgary.

Those who are able to find the spoons can scan the QR code and enter the contest for a ridiculous amount of ice cream. There will be 10 winners selected from each location.

Fans can follow along with hints of the locations on the Dairy Queen Canada social media.

The spoon was officially set up at 10 a.m. Friday and will stay there until 6 p.m. on Sunday.
