Parekh scored the final goal in the Saginaw Spirit’s 8-3 win over the North Bay Battallion, giving the defenceman 30 goals on the season.
He is just the second blueliner in OHL/OHA history to score 30-plus goals in mutiple seasons. The other is Orr, who did if from 1964-66 with the Oshawa Generals.
This season, Parekh, the Flames 2024 ninth overall selection, has 96 points in 55 games — 21 more than the league’s next number-two scoring D-man.
