Crews were in the Bow River Tuesday morning working to recover a stolen vehicle.

Calgary police say officers responded to the Graves Bridge along Glenmore Trail SE just before around 4:50 a.m. for reports a vehicle had gone into the water.

The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) says the vehicle, a Tesla Model Y, was driven into the water and was unoccupied when crews arrived.

The vehicle was fully submerged and well off the shoreline. No injuries have been reported.

Police say the driver left the area before officers arrived. Investigators are trying to determine if the car was intentionally driven into the river.
