A Calgary family doctor is facing discipline after inappropriately touching one of his assistants more than three years ago.
Dr. Victor Taye Fadayomi has been sanctioned by the College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSA) for unprofessional conduct.
A hearing held in October 2023 found that, two years earlier, Fadayomi inappropriately touched the breast of one of his medical officer assistants without her consent.
The college held hearings last year and decided to suspend the family physicians practice permit for four months, with three months to be servied and one month to be held in abeyance if he completes other orders from the tribunal.
The other orders include completing a program on ethics and boundaries at his own cost, and paying the college for 60 per cent of the investigation and hearing.
The CPSA says the complainant in the case was not a patient and therefore mandatory sanctions for sexual abuse do not apply.
