Police have recovered stolen items and charged a man and a woman in relation to a break and enter at a home in southwest Calgary earlier this month.
Calgary police began investigating after a homeowner returned to find items missing from their house on Pumpmeadow Cresent SW in the community of Pump Hill on the afternoon of March 1.
Officers obtained a physical description of a male suspect after reviewing CCTV footage and began investigating.
Police believe the man broke into the home when it was unoccupied. He allegedly stole approximately $1,000 dollars worth of various personal property, including jewelry.
On March 7, officers were notified about a man who matched the suspect’s description, charged in an unrelated incident. Evidence confirmed him to be responsible for the break and enter.
Tyler Peter Reid, 35, has been charged with one count of breaking and entering and one count of failing to comply with a court order.
While tracking down the stolen items, investigators acquired CCTV footage from a local pawn shop of a woman believed to have been trafficking items stolen in the break and enter.
Police executed a search warrant last week and arrested Ashley Marie Holst, 29, who was charged with one count each of trafficking stolen property, possession of stolen property and uttering a forged document.
