Officers are asking the public to help them identify three suspects involved in a targeted break and enter in southeast Calgary.
On March 17, three people broke into a business in the Foothills Industrial area and stole five rolls of copper wire. Police said in a news release the rolls are believed to be valued at over $50,000.
CCTV footage captured the suspects leaving in a dark-coloured Dodge Ram 3500 Dually, towing a white enclosed utility trailer. The thieves damaged a fence while breaking in, backing their truck and trailer through it.
Police said in the news release that the trailer’s licence plate was stolen, and a second dark-coloured truck is believed to have also been driven.
Police say in the news release that the business’ name and exact location are not being shared to prevent further victimization.
The District 4 Break and Enter Team is investigating the case and is seeking the public’s help to identify those involved.
Police ask anyone with dashcam footage from the Foothills Industrial area between 2:40 a.m. to 3:15 a.m. on that day, or anyone with information about the vehicles or identities of the suspects, to contact them.
