City of Calgary reopening Shaganappi Point, Maple Ridge golf courses next week

With signs of spring already here, the City of Calgary plans to reopen their south golf course locations, Shaganappi Point and Maple Ridge, in preparation for the upcoming golf season. (City of Calgary)

With signs of spring already here, the City of Calgary plans to reopen their south golf course locations, Shaganappi Point and Maple Ridge, in preparation for the upcoming golf season.

Tee times are set to begin on April 1 at Shaganappi Point and April 4 at Maple Ridge, weather permitting. Shaganappi Point will reopen with a modified front nine holes.

Last year, Shaganappi Point and Maple Ridge didn’t open until April 20 and 21 respectively.

Online booking release dates will be announced on the City’s golf website. Click here for more information.

The booking process may be slower due to high demand throughout the golf season, especially when courses first open.

The City said in a news release that staff are working on their clubhouses and course maintenance to ensure the best possible spring conditions and golf experience for their customers.

Privately-owned courses Play Golf Calgary and Blue Devil Golf Club opened last Friday.
