Calgary police are asking people for help to identify suspects in an assault at a southwest LRT station early in March.

Police believe on the evening of March 3, a group of six teens asked a 14-year-old boy who was walking inside the Anderson LRT station about his hoodie.

When the boy tried to walk away from the group, one of the group members allegedly hit the boy and a fight broke out.

Police arrived about 10 minutes later after a witness called the assault in, but the group was already gone by the time they got there.

Officers say they were able to quickly find the victim and take him to hospital to treat minor injuries.

Officials say they were unable to identify the suspects despite their best efforts, and are now asking the public for help.

As the suspects are believed to be minors, officials can’t share photos showing their faces under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police say one suspect is light skinned with brown hair, black rimmed glasses, a red hoodie, faded and ripped blue jeans and black running shoes.

Another suspect is tall and dark skinned wearing a red backpack, black pants, white shoes, a black jacket and a black face and head covering.

The third suspect is dark skinned and was wearing a black jacket, faded black denim jeans, white shoes, a red Bape backpack with black straps and a black head covering.

Police say the fourth suspect has a medium skin tone and wore a head covering, hooded jacket, pants and shoes, all in black.

The fifth suspect is tall and wore a black hoodie, a shiny black down-filled jacket without a hood, faded black denim jeans, either grey or white sneakers and a black backpack.

The last suspect was wearing a grey hoodie and a backpack, pants and shoes that were all black.

Police encourage anyone with information about the suspects to call them at 403-266-1234. Information can also be submitted anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477, http://www.calgarycrimestoppers.org/ or through the P3 Tips app.
