One person was sent to hospital after a collision between a cyclist and a vehicle in northeast Calgary Tuesday morning.

Calgary police say it happened shortly after 9 a.m. at the intersection of 34 Avenue NE and Centre A Street NE.

According to investigators, the cyclist was left with serious, but non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident. They were taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigators say the driver stayed at the scene of the incident.

Traffic might be delayed in the area while officers investigate.
