    Fire crews were called Tuesday afternoon to deal with a grass fire near the Alberta Children's Hospital.

    A grass fire that was burning near the children’s hospital in northwest Calgary is now under control.

    Calgary fire officials said they received reports of a grass fire just south of the Alberta Children’s Hospital on the east side of Shaganappi Trail NW around 3:40 p.m.

    Fire trucks were seen arriving at the fire around 3:50 p.m. The blaze was brought under control by 5 p.m.

    Images sent to CityNews show a charred hillside near the hospital with smoke and flames visible.

    No injuries or damage have been reported.
