RCMP searching for suspect in Airdrie sexual assault

Airdrie RCMP are looking for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman near a city park last summer.
Police say officers responded to reports of a sexual assault at Nose Creek Park in Airdrie on June 1, 2024 at 3 a.m.
The woman was apparently offered a ride home from Main Street Beer and BBQ restaurant and on the way home, the man stopped at the park and sexually assaulted her.
According to RCMP, the woman was able to get away and ran to a 7-11 convenience store in the Luxstone neighbourhood.
CCTV footage captured images of the suspect and the vehicle, which is believed to be a dark blue or black Tesla Model Y or Model 3.

The suspect is described as a man with a medium complexion wearing a red turban, around 5’10” tall, wearing a black and grey Tommy Hilfiger zip-up jacket, blue jeans, and white or grey shoes with three black stripes.
