    Calgary police are investigating after a man was found with stab wounds at the Saddletowne LRT Station early Friday morning.

    Calgary police are investigating after a man was found with stab wounds at the Saddletowne LRT Station early Friday morning.

    Investigators say an unconscious man was found just before 1 a.m. at the northeast transit station suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound.

    He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition where he underwent emergency surgery.

    As of 2:45 a.m., the victim was in critical condition, according to investigating.

    Police believe the man had been picked up from the Rundle LRT Station four stops away from where he was ultimately found.

    Officers canvassed the area around Rundle Station and found a trail of blood leading to a home on Rundlehorn Circle NE.

    Two people of interest were arrested at the scene by police.

    No charges have been laid and the investigation is ongoing.
