Police have identified a young man who was fatally stabbed during an “alcohol-fueled fight” outside a downtown Calgary bar over the weekend.

Police have identified a young man who was fatally stabbed during an “alcohol-fueled fight” outside a downtown Calgary bar over the weekend.

Calgary police say it happened around 2 a.m. in a parking lot outside Commonwealth Bar & Stage near 7 Street and 10 Avenue SW.

Two victims were found with stab wounds, with one being a 21-year-old who was declared dead after being rushed to hospital. The other was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Following an autopsy, investigators have identified the deceased victim as 21-year-old Jonas Robert Nedd.

Four suspects who were taken into custody early Saturday were released without charges pending further investigation.

“Investigators have spoken with more than a dozen witnesses and are in the process of reviewing countless hours of CCTV,” reads a release from Calgary police.

Police are looking for the owners of a dark-coloured Tesla who they believe could be able to provide additional information.
