One in custody after person with BB gun spotted near NE Calgary school, police say

One person is in custody after someone with a BB gun was spotted near a northeast Calgary school on Wednesday afternoon.

One person is in custody after someone with a BB gun was spotted near a northeast Calgary school on Wednesday afternoon.

Calgary police say officers were called to Falshire Drive NE near Terry Fox School around 1:35 p.m. for reports of someone with a BB gun.

One person was taken into custody, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.

Earlier in the day, a student was injured with an airsoft gun near Bishop McNally high school, about a kilometre away from Terry Fox School.

Police say they do not believe the two incidents are related.
