A fight between two teenage boys prompted a large police presence in northeast Calgary Wednesday morning.
Police say it happened just before 10:30 a.m. in an alley near Bishop McNally High School on Falconridge Boulevard NE.
One student is reported to have suffered minor injuries from an airsoft gun and went into the school to report the incident.
Despite initial reports, police now say the high school was never in lockdown. However, it and other schools in the area did take security precautions.
Investigators say that while a suspect is not in custody, officers know who committed the alleged crime.
On Wednesday afternoon, police said a person with a BB gun was spotted near Terry Fox School, about one kilometre away from Bishop McNally.
That person has been taken into custody and police continue to investigate. Police do not believe the two incidents are connected.
