Man dead, woman hurt in SW Calgary domestic assault

A man is dead and a woman was sent to hospital with gunshot wounds after a domestic assault in southwest Calgary on Tuesday morning.

A man is dead and a woman was sent to hospital with gunshot wounds after a domestic assault in southwest Calgary on Tuesday morning.

Investigators say it happened at a home in Patterson Heights around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Calgary police say a man is dead and a woman suffered minor injuries as a a result of an assault. Police confirmed the injured woman was in hospital with gunshot wounds.

No arrests have been made and there is no risk to public safety, police say.

Police will not be issuing any further updates.
