2 Cochrane men killed in motocross collision west of Calgary: RCMP

Cochrane RCMP responding to a tragic incident just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, that claimed the lives of two 21-year-old Cochrane men.

Two men riding motocross bikes have been killed in an off-road collision west of Calgary early Saturday, Mounties say.

It happened just before 1 a.m. in the Horse Creek area near Cochrane.

Emergency crews, including RCMP, firefighters, and EMS, arrived and found two seriously injured men, both 21 years old and residents of Cochrane.

However, despite life-saving efforts, Mounties say the two were declared dead on the scene.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the incident.

“RCMP sends condolences to the family and friends of both deceased,” police said.
