Some Calgary city-run golf courses opening this week

The City of Calgary is opening some of its golf courses Tuesday.

Some good news for Calgary golfers itching to pull the clubs out of storage, with several city-run courses set to open this week.

The City of Calgary says Maple Ridge, McCall Lake and Shaganappi Point will all be ready to welcome players on Tuesday, weather permitting.

Confederation Park and Lakeview will open at a later date once they are playable.

The city says crews have been working through spring maintenance on fairways, greens and clubhouses to get everything in shape for opening day.

With tee times already available to book, golfers are being advised to expect high demand and slower booking speeds as the season ramps up.

For the latest updates on course conditions and opening details, the city is directing golfers to calgary.ca/golf.
