One dead, 1 hurt after CO exposure at NE Calgary home

A person is dead after a carbon monoxide incident in the city's northeast.

One person is dead and another is in hospital after a carbon monoxide (CO) incident in northeast Calgary on Tuesday.

Emergency crews were called to a home in the community of Martindale around 4:20 p.m. for reports to suspected CO exposure.

The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) and paramedics were able to detect elevated levels of CO upon arrival.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was rushed to Foothills hospital in serious, but non-life-threatening condition.
