Stabbing at downtown Calgary park leaves one hurt; suspect arrested

A fight between a group of people in a Downtown Calgary park led to one person being stabbed according to police.

One person is hurt and another is in custody following a stabbing at a downtown Calgary park on Monday afternoon.

Calgary police say officers were called to Century Gardens Park around 1 p.m. for reports of a fight between a group of people.

Officers arrived to find one person had been stabbed. The victim was taken to hospital in stable condition, according to paramedics.

Police found a suspect a short distance away from the scene and took them into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
