Three-vehicle crash in NW Calgary sends drivers to hospital with minor injuries

Calgary police are investigating a serious multi-vehicle collision that occurred early Friday morning in the city’s southeast.

Three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a multi-vehicle crash in Calgary’s northwest Friday morning.

Calgary police say it happened at John Laurie Boulevard NW and 14 Street NW around 6:30 a.m.

Investigators believe a vehicle driving east on John Laurie rear-ended a truck that was also travelling east.

The impact pushed the truck over the median and into the westbound lanes of John Laurie Boulevard NW.

The truck then hit an SUV head-on.

All of the drivers stayed at the scene before they were taken to hospital.

Area roads were closed for an investigation, but have since reopened.
