Bear spray attack at NE Calgary community centre leaves 3 hurt

Police were called to a community centre in the city’s northeast Monday afternoon after reports of a bear spray attack inside the facility.
The incident happened around 4 p.m., at the Genesis Centre near Falconridge Boulevard and Saddletowne Circle NE.
Witnesses reported a group of youths discharging bear spray.
Three victims were found at the scene. Their injuries are believed to be minor, though paramedics are assessing their condition.
At this time, investigators have not confirmed whether the assault was a targeted attack.
Two people are currently in custody, and officers remain on scene as the investigation continues.
