Calgary marks 13th pedestrian death after collision in SE

Calgary police are investigating another traffic fatality involving a pedestrian Wednesday morning.

It happened shortly after 2 a.m. on Peigan Trail SE at 84 Street SE.

Police say the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.

As a result, Peigan Trail was closed in both directions for several hours.

Traffic in the area has since returned to normal.

This is Calgary’s 33rd fatal traffic incident this year, the 13th involving the death of a pedestrian.
