The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train is set to roll into Alberta beginning this weekend, bringing festive lights and music to towns across the province.
Over the course of 23 shows, the train will host half-hour live concerts featuring well-known performers.
Country stars Jade Eagleson and Teigen Gayse will headline shows from Dec. 7–9, while Canadian icons Barenaked Ladies take the stage Dec. 12–14. On Dec. 21, American country band Lanco will perform alongside rising artist Tiera Kennedy.
“We are thrilled to send this beautiful train filled with lights and music to spread the joy of the season and support the giving spirit of the holidays by assisting people experiencing food insecurity,” said Keith Creel, CPKC President and CEO.
“It’s incredible to see communities come together every year to celebrate the holidays while supporting local food banks.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring cash or non-perishable food donations. All contributions stay local, supporting food banks in each community.
