In 660 NewsRadio’s “Pause for Pets,” we take a look at a slick black cat at the City of Calgary animal shelter who is looking for a “crime-fighting” partner while waiting for adoption.
And this cat isn’t any ordinary cat.
This cat is a bat. A Batcat, you could say.
Well, actually, his name is Batman.
And while he won’t be screaming for you to ‘swear’ to him or make declarations of being Batman constantly, this 1-year-old dude has earned a reputation as a professional cuddler and conversationalist.

Charming, curious and with a big personality, Batman is a slick, black domestic shorthair cat with sincere green eyes.
He is currently staying in the communal room with other cats at the city shelter, and that suits the gregarious feline just fine.
But he’d love to find his forever home.
If you like a cat that will greet you at the door with a comment, offer unsolicited opinions often and love lots of attention, Batman may be for you.
He’s good vibes — loves to be held and ready to find a batcave and his people.
For more information, you can call 311 and ask for more details on Batman by sharing his file number, a0939874. More information on adoption is also online.
