Shots fired into NE Calgary Martindale home: police

Shots were fired into a home in the northeast community of Martindale early Wednesday morning.

Calgary police were called to a home on Martindale Boulevard in the community of Martindale around 5:30 a.m.

Police say the homeowners revealed a window in the home was broken by a gunshot.


Shell casings were also found on the ground.

No injuries were reported.

In an update Wednesday afternoon, police say they do not believe the shooting is connected to a recent series of extortion incidents in Calgary.
