A woman and a toddler in a stroller were hit by a vehicle in Calgary’s Inglewood neighbourhood Friday morning.

Police say it happened shortly before 11:15 a.m. at 9 Avenue and 8 Street SE.

The woman was left with minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution. The toddler suffered no injuries.

The driver stayed at the scene, according to police.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Last month, a toddler died in Calgary’s southwest when two parents were pushing a stroller through a marked crosswalk and were hit by a Jeep.

In that case, the toddler was rushed to hospital but eventually died.
