Police in Calgary are looking for two men believed to be responsible for an assault in the city’s northeast earlier this week that seriously injured one person.

Investigators say it happened in the community of Cornerstone around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 8.

Officers arrived to Corner Glen Row NE to find a man in his 20s in medical distress.

He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Police say two unknown men attacked the victim outside of a home resulting in serious injuries.

Investigators previously said this incident was a stabbing.

The victim is still in hospital and has been upgraded to serious but stable condition.

Police describe the suspects as being in their early 20s, both with light complexions. One was wearing a red hooding, and the other was wearing a white or light-coloured hoodie.

After reviewing surveillance footage, investigators believe they’ve identified a suspect vehicle — a dark blue 2008-2015 Infiniti EX35.

This incident is believed to be targeted, and there is no risk to the public at this time.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or tip anonymously through Crimestoppers.
