Woman seriously hurt after being hit by vehicle in NE Calgary

Calgary Police say a pedestrian was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in the city's NE.

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Thursday.

Calgary police say it happened just before noon at the intersection of 5 Avenue and 33 Street NE near Marlborough Mall.

Paramedics say a woman was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver stayed at the scene, according to police.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
