Laser devices stolen in late‑night break‑ins in Airdrie, Cochrane; suspects sought

Mounties are looking for suspects after two Calgary-area businesses were hit by nearly identical late‑night break‑ins a week apart.

Airdrie RCMP say officers were called around 1:30 a.m. on March 29 after a business near 1 Street SW and Centre Avenue was broken into.

Video footage shows two suspects removing a large laser device before leaving the scene.

A week later, at about 1:15 a.m. on Apr. 6, Cochrane RCMP responded to an alarm at a business near 1 Street E and Pope Avenue. Surveillance video again captured two suspects stealing a large laser device.

Investigators believe the same pair is responsible for both thefts. Police have released surveillance photos of the suspects from each location.

Airdrie RCMP are asking anyone with footage or tips from March 29 between 1 and 2 a.m. near 1 Street SW and Centre Avenue to contact them at 403‑945‑7200.

Cochrane RCMP are asking anyone with footage or tips from April 6 between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. along 1 Street E between Pope Avenue and Ross Avenue to contact them at 403‑851‑8000.
